How hot it's going to get where you live in Greater Manchester this weekend

The sun has finally decided to shine this weekend in Greater Manchester after what has been an unpredictable summer of weather so far.

The region is in for a bright and sunny next few days, with the Met Office forecasting temperatures of up to 26C.

Some boroughs will be warmer than others though, with a few areas expecting sunny intervals rather than continuous sunshine.

Public Health England has issued a heat-health alert, warning the public to take measures to stay safe in the sweltering heat.

While Met Office forecasters have also encouraged the public to remember to wear sunscreen if you're spending time outdoors, as UV levels are 'very high'.

So, if you're making plans for the next few days and are wondering how hot it will get where you live, then here is a look at the Met Office weather forecast for every Greater Manchester borough, for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Manchester

Friday

By midday, it's forecast to be 24C, hotting up to 25C by 2pm, and peaking at 26C at 3pm.

It will remain warm throughout the day, with the forecast predicting it will still be 22C by 9pm.

Saturday

Saturday is expected to start at 17C, before making its way to 24C by lunchtime. Temperatures will peak at 26C by 2pm, where it is expected to remain this hot until 4pm.

Again, it will remain very warm throughout the day, lowering to 21C by 9pm.

Sunday

Sunday is forecast to be slightly cooler, reaching a peak of 23C by 1pm.

It's expected to remain warm and sunny throughout the day.

Stockport

Friday

By midday, it's forecast to be 22C, hotting up to 24C by 1pm, and peaking at 25C at 2pm.

It will remain warm and sunny throughout the day, with the forecast predicting it will still be 21C by 9pm.

Saturday

Saturday is expected to start at 17C, before making its way to 24C by lunchtime. Temperatures will peak at 26C by 3pm, where it is expected to remain this hot until 4pm.

Again, it will stay very warm throughout the day, lowering to 21C by 9pm.

Sunday

Sunday is forecast to be slightly cooler, reaching a peak of 24C by 1pm.

It's expected to remain warm and sunny throughout the day.
