How good is your school? Every secondary in the North East ranked

This comprehensive guide aims to give parents a better idea of which state-funded schools will help their child prosper.

It takes into account 51 different data points - including not just GCSE results and attainment - but also factors like Progress 8, pupil-teacher ratios and absence rates.

It is broken down into four categories - attainment, progress, attendance, and outcomes.

Search for your school's score, below:

It will allow families to compare different schools and find links to contact details and recent Ofsted reports.

The Guide, now in its seventh year, has been praised by minsters and education experts alike, with former schools minters David Lewis calling it 'public-service journalism in the best tradition'.

This year's results put St Mary's Catholic School on top as the best school in the North East.

In second place is Emmanuel College in Gateshead, with St Anthony's Girls' Catholic Academy, Sunderland, in third.
