How Gabriel Martinelli and Emiliano Martinez reacted to Pablo Mari’s training session in Dubai

Arsenal players are hard at work as they take part in a warm weather training camp during the Premier League's winter break.

Mikel Arteta is putting his men through their paces in a four-day camp in Dubai, as they prepare for their next league game.

The Gunners are back in action on Sunday February 16th as they take on Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium, meaning that Arteta has time to prepare his squad for the match after a hectic Christmas schedule.

It is the first year that the Premier League has introduced a mid-season break in an attempt to give players a chance to recover and taking an example of the European counterparts who have had a winter break for some years.

The break comes after Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor in their last outing.

January signing Pablo Mari wasn't included in the squad for that game, but he has been taking part in the training camp while getting to know his new teammates.

After the first day of training, the defender took to social media.

"First training in Dubai," he wrote alongside the training pictures.

The post prompted comments from two of his new Arsenal teammates.

Gabriel Martinelli wrote: "Fenomeno irmao," which translates as "Phenomenal brother," while goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez posted "Buaaaaaaa," with a clapping hand emoji.

Mari will have the chance to make his Arsenal debut when Arsenal host Newcastle after the winter break.
