How England are expected to line up against Italy in tonight's Euro 2020 final

England manager Gareth Southgate is reportedly set to switch to a five-man defence for tonight's Euro 2020 final against Italy at Wembley.

It was a formation which worked well for the Three Lions in their 2-0 last-16 victory over Germany, but will mean a change in the starting line-up.

Athletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier is expected to come into the side this evening, with Arsenal's Bukayo Saka the man who could make way.

Phil Foden had been an injury doubt, but the Man City midfielder is believed to have been passed fit for a role on the bench

It would mean Kyle Walker dropped into a three-man central defence alongside Manchester City team-mate John Stones and Manchester United's Harry Maguire, with Luke Shaw and Trippier as the two wing-backs.

Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice are expected to fill the central midfield roles, despite Liverpool's Jordan Henderson pushing for a place, with Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling supporting striker and captain Harry Kane.

It means Jack Grealish is likely to start the game from the bench but, along with Foden and Henderson, could be used in the second half, or if the game goes into extra-time.

England predicted XI: Pickford, Trippier, Walker, Maguire, Stones, Shaw, Rice, Phillips, Mount, Sterling, Kane.
