Manchester City goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck has been getting advice from Ederson and first team goalkeeping coach Xavi Mancisidor as she tries to become England's No.1.
Roebuck impressed in City's 1-0 win over Manchester United in the first women's derby on Saturday pulling off a sensational save to deny Jane Ross in the first half at the Etihad.
With Karen Bardsley out injured the 19-year-old will be relied upon by Nick Cushing at the start of the new campaign and she revealed she has been getting some advice from first team goalkeeper Ederson.
"Yeah (Ederson has given her advice) we train outside in the same same area," she said. "Their goalkeeper coach Xavi [Mancisidor] is always coming across and contributing, giving us ideas. So it's a really good working relationship and that reflects well on the club in general."
Pushed on what it is Ederson has been telling her she replied: "It's more in passing. We see them train and we walk around. It's just the environment itself, it's more just natural. But I think that's what's really special about the club."
The teenager is hoping to not only stake her claim to be City's No.1 but is also hoping to convince England boss Phil Neville, who was watching on at the Etihad on Saturday, that she has what it takes to be first choice for her country too.
"Obviously the aim for me is to be England's number one. That's obviously a really difficult task because there's other top quality goalkeepers in England," she said.
"For example, my opposing goalkeeper today. But I just focus on myself. I can only control what I can control and if I keep performing week in and week out then hopefully it gets noticed and puts me in the best position but I can just carry on working hard on and that's all I can do."
