How do you fix it?

Officials in Kalasin had a big problem over the weekend.

A heavy rain storm caused rivers to rise. In Na Mon district the fast-flowing water washed out an important bridge. Cars, trucks and even motorcycles couldn't pass over it.

People really needed to use the road and officials wanted to fix it right away. But how?

They asked the army to help. Army engineers brought in a steel bridge and put it up in only one day.

Army engineers knew what to do.

It is a temporary bridge and officials will soon need to build a new permanent one, but today traffic is moving again in Na Mon.
