There are hardly any boys in our school reading club. Have you any suggestions of ways we might get them to join?
Bribery and incentives are the best way of hooking reluctant boys
into reading clubs. Bringing in an author as a reading role model
always helps. Once there, given the inclusion of graphic novels,
magazines and books by authors such as Charlie Higson, Darren Shan,
Garth Nix, Brian Selznick, Tom Palmer and Shaun Tan, you'll probably
find they'll be happy to stay.
