'How did we lose?': Man City fans make the same point as Tottenham collapse to Arsenal

Tottenham look a world away from the side that beat Manchester City on the opening day of the season.

On August 15, Spurs recorded a shock win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when Heung-min Son struck ten minutes after half-time to record an unlikely victory.

Since that game City have clicked into gear with a statement win at Chelsea on Saturday, their latest victory while Spurs have struggled to build on a good start.

Around seven weeks on and Tottenham found themselves 3-0 down at half-time to Arsenal in the north London derby at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have been all over their rivals in the capital with Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka netting inside 35 minutes to put Mikel Arteta's side in cruise control.

All three goals were soft from a Spurs point of view, with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris receiving little help from his team-mates.

It is hard to believe City would have lost to the Spurs side playing today, with Harry Kane lacking service up front and his fellow attackers struggling to make any noticeable impact.

City supporters are making the same point on social media about Spurs and that game last month.

"How did we not beat this Spurs team," one fan asked while another added: "How did we lose to this Spurs side?"

"Less knee-jerk giddiness is perhaps the order of the day," a third supporter said.

Another added: "Mad how Spurs won the league on August 15 and now they're 11th.

"We will take Kane for a fiver," a fifth fan said.
