'How could he do this?!' - Arsenal fans left stunned as Granit Xhaka hints at potential exit

Arsenal fans are finally seeing the very best of Granit Xhaka this season following Unai Emery's appointment as head coach last May.

A player that has divided opinion following his £35million move from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2016, the 26-year-old has certainly played a big role in the club's surge up the table in recent weeks as they look to seal a Champions League spot.

Missing just five Premier League matches so far this season, Xhaka, who has also worn the captain's armband numerous times, has chipped in with important goals against Newcastle United and Manchester United over the course of the campaign.

Seen as a key part of the team going forward under Emery, the player has opened the door to a potential move away from the club with his comments while on international duty for Switzerland.

"I'm very ambitious, I want to take the next step, Arsenal does not have to be the last stop," he told Tagblatt.

While there will certainly be a number of clubs interested in his services going on his form this season, his comments haven't gone down very well with some supporters.

A handful of fans have questioned why he could now do this given he has turned things around, with some even calling for him to be sold in the summer if he doesn't want to be at the club.
