How Chelsea's shock defeat to West Ham affects the race for the top four

The race for a place in the top four is well and truly on after both Chelsea and Leicester lost on Wednesday night.

Leicester's 2-1 defeat to Everton continued the Foxes' rotten run of form, with Brendan Rodgers' side having picked up just two points from their four games since football returned.

Chelsea, meanwhile, were unable to continue their fine recent form as they lost 3-2 to the Hammers, and a number of teams are now closing in on Frank Lampard's side.

There is a big game between Sheffield United and Tottenham tomorrow evening, with the winners leapfrogging Arsenal into seventh place and keeping themselves in with a fighting chance of a Champions League place.

And with the likes of Manchester United, Wolves, Burnley and Sheffield United all still in contention, there is still a huge amount to play for.

To make matters even more complicated, fifth place may still be enough for a Champions League spot if Manchester City's UEFA ban is upheld.

Here's a look at every contending side's situation going into the final few games of the season...
