Timo Werner's wait for a goal has finally reached its conclusion.
After not scoring in his last 11 Chelsea appearances, the Germany international finally brought his drought to an end this evening, scoring the opening goal of the game in the Blues' clash against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Werner finished off a wonderful counter-attack to stroke home Ben Chilwell's low cross, ensuring Thomas Tuchel's side led 1-0 at the half time interval.
It marked the former RB Leipzig man's first goal since he scored in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Newcastle United on February 15.
As the striker raced away to celebrate what could prove to be a crucial goal in the race for a top-four finish, you could sense the relief on Werner's face, as he has faced no shortage of criticism in recent weeks for failing to repay Chelsea for the hefty-sized transfer fee they shelled out to bring him to west London not too far off a year ago.
Unsurprisingly, Chelsea's supporters soon took to social media to celebrate the striker's sixth Premier League goal of the campaign.

With his wait for a goal having now reached the end, the German will be doing his utmost to try and end the season with a flourish, as well as prove to Chelsea's board and Tuchel that pursuing a move for Erling Haaland this summer may not be completely necessary.
However, he missed a great chance to double Chelsea's lead early in the second half, with some Blues fans in disbelief at his miss from just a few yards out.

Recently, Tuchel challenged his strikers to end the season with a flourish after being asked to address reports linking the Blues with a move for a new striker this summer.
Tuchel, speaking earlier this month, said: "For the next eight weeks, we just have to think how we can improve the scoring and the scoring situation, and nothing else, and then in the summer we will think further and think together with the club about what solutions are the best solutions for us.
"Is it the best solution to stay with our squad? Is it the best solution to stay in the formation that we have? Can we improve on the training pitch individually and as a group... these are the questions for June.
"For now, in April when we arrive, everybody knows that when you read the statistics it's obvious and the guys lack this last percentage of confidence when they don't score.
"Everybody wants higher numbers, us, you, but it's difficult for us to produce, obviously, but we will not stop pushing."
