How Charlton defeat has harmed Nottingham Forest's promotion chances

Nottingham Forest’s latest defeat in the Sky Bet Championship may have handed them a slight blow in their promotion chances.

The Reds suffered a 1-0 defeat to on Tuesday night, with striker Lyle Taylor netting the decisive strike for the Addicks at the City Ground.

The defeat leaves Forest in , two points adrift of the automatic promotion places after Leeds drew with Brentford.

Fulham could climb into the top two this evening with victory over Millwall at The Den.

The latest table from FootballWebPages has Forest down to maintain their fifth place position until the end of the campaign.

This would mean that the Reds would compete in the Championship play-offs and face Fulham who are predicted to finish fourth.
