How Celtic goal blitz cost one unlucky Cardiff City punter £25k!

One unlucky Cardiff punter missed out on a £25,000 windfall on Saturday - because of Celtic's second half goal blitz against Ross County.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon was buzzing on Saturday night after his Scottish Premiership table-toppers fizzed six of the best past Ross County.

But the Hoops' second-half goal blitz cost TWO hapless Footie5 punters £25,000 each!

That's the big prize for correctly predicting five scores in thepools.com's free to enter game - the game in which you can even select which fixtures you want to predict.

And one player from Stockport and another from Cardiff correctly called four our of five fixtures spot on, including Liverpool's late draw at Old Trafford and Leicester's come from behind victory over Burnley .

Both even had Celtic to win to nil against Ross County.

But one player predicted 2-0 and the other 3-0, then watched in dismay as Celtic blitzed four goals in nine second half minutes to win 6-0, go back top of the Premiership and scupper their hopes of winning the big prize!

Making them feel even worse a total of 43 Footie5 players did correctly predict Celtic to win 6-0 against Ross County - but not in tandem with the other four fixtures.

They'll be having another go this weekend.
