Carl Woods' epic proposal to Katie Price and 'eye-wateringly' expensive ring he designed

Carl Woods has given details about the romantic way he proposed to Katie Price earlier this month.

The 33-year-old reality star is set to wed his partner, 42, later this year after he surprised Katie with a whopping diamond ring amid a stunning set-up at home.

Speaking to OK! magazine, the couple expressed their excitement about the recent proposal and unveiled several details about how he popped the question. He also recalled the process he went through to personally design her gorgeous ring.

His interview came as professional jewellers estimated that the ring could be worth around £250,000.

"I had the whole house kitted out with balloons and flowers, and a big sign inside that said 'Mrs Woods'," Carl revealed to the publication.

He added: "So I was assuming she was going to say yes! Then there was a marquee in the garden with lots of flowers and candles. I had a sign saying, "Dolly, will you marry me?"

Katie also went on to admit that despite talking about getting married for quite some time, Carl's recent proposal still came as quite a surprise.

While there were no tears during the romantic moment, Katie did admit: "I was so shocked! The ring nearly blinded me."

Carl added: "The ring had to be perfect. I was recommended a family jeweller, Rankins in east London. Jodie Rankin helped me with the design. I knew what Katie had her eye on and added my own touches. Like Katie, it's a one-off, a truly stunning piece.

The stunning ring has since been valuated by professional jewellers who suggested that the ring might be worth around £250,000.

Sarah Buck at H&T Pawnbrokers said:"We estimate the ring to be a combined stone carat of between 6 and 8 carats worth of diamonds. The ring appears as though it is a G/H in colour and VS to SI in clarity, we estimate the price to be approx £250,000 for this unique designer piece."

As well as getting stuck into wedding planning, the couple has also made no secret of plans to have a baby in the future.
