How can you watch the Tour de France 2023? Times and live stream details

The 2023 Tour de France will begin this weekend.

The race will be the 110th edition of the Tour de France. It will get underway in Bilbao, Spain, on Saturday, July 1 and end with the final stage at Champs-Élysées, Paris, on Sunday July 23. The world famous race has been held annually since 1903 and while the concept of the race has remained the same, the route still changes every year.

This year, the Tour de France looks set to host a battle between defending champion Jonas Vingegaard and two-time winner Tadej Pogacar, while Mikel Landa will also pose a worthy threat. To win the race you have to have accrued the lowest time over the 21 stages of the race.

A total of 2.3 million euros will be awarded to the teams and riders and around the world, millions will watch on television with an incredible 41.5 million tuning into the 2022 race. An epic and challenging race while nearly 200 riders compete, only one will win.

UK viewers will also be keeping an eye on Mark Cavendish who will be racing for the 14th and final time. He will also be bidding to take the all-time record for stage wins at the race, a record that was set in 1975 by Eddy Merckx.
