How Bristol Rovers' season ticket prices compare with Derby, Portsmouth and League One rivals

Bristol Rovers have the ninth-most expensive season ticket in League One, based on the cost of an adult for the 2023/24 campaign.

The cheapest ticket at the Mem, as per the Gas’ early bird pricing, is £339 for the terracing in the Thatchers’ End or the lower tiers of the East and West stands. That is £75 below the lowest priced ticket at Portsmouth’s Fratton Park, the most expensive in the division, albeit a seated ticket.

Rovers released their pricing in February with an increase of around seven per cent for adult tickets on the previous campaign where the Gas sold more than 5,000 season tickets, and there are hopes that they can exceed that figure once again.

As mentioned, Pompey can be considered the most expensive club based on their cheapest ticket but in terms of average - taking into account all types of adult tickets in their respective grounds - Peterborough United are top of the standings, with the figures slightly skewed by the £769 Executive Suite tickets offered at London Road.

Rovers’ costliest area of the Mem is a seat in the West Stand at £499, below the corporate boxes and opposite the dugouts. That pushes their average price up to £426 which ranks them sixth highest among their rivals.

Speaking after the release of tickets for a seat in the proposed South Stand, CEO Tom Gorringe said: "Our fans are the lifeblood of the club. During Covid, we saw first-hand the impact that not having you with us could have on the team, whilst last season you were able to play your part in cheering us on to promotion.

"We entered this season with more Season Ticket holders than ever before and we would like to thank you all for sticking with this team through thick and thin. We remain ambitious and want to keep improving (on and off the pitch) and we can’t wait for you to be with us on the next part of this journey."
