How Belle Silva reacted to social media post criticising 'deadbeat' Chelsea boss Graham Potter

Thiago Silva's wife, Belle, has liked a post on Twitter labelling Graham Potter a 'deadbeat tactic-less coach.' It comes as pressure mounts on the former Brighton man after a damaging defeat to Southampton on Saturday.

Potter was booed off the field for the third time in a number of weeks as Chelsea were condemned to the latest shock result in a string of poor form stretching back to October. Although Blues fans have voiced their frustration towards Potter he appears to have the continued backing of the owners, for now at least.

With one win in nine games, Potter chose to rest star players for the game against Saints due to fitness concerns after an intense Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund in midweek. Silva was one of those that missed out, the first time he hasn't played since October.

Silva signed a new one-year extension with the club earlier this month and is still one of the most important players in the squad but Belle, who has made quite the name for herself within the fanbase for comical moments and connection to the club, hasn't helped him out here.

Below a tweet about Brazilian TV one 'supporter' replied to Belle Silva, writing, "can u ask silva to coach our club himself because we have a deadbeat tacticless coach who doesn't know what he is doing ,he doesn't even understand this is Chelsea football club he thinks he is still at Brighton."

She has liked the comment and at the time of writing, Monday afternoon, hasn't unliked it. It comes one week after Potter was asked about a similar incident involving Todd Boehly and a tweet from football.london which related to Marc Cucurella's form. On that issue Potter played it safe, replying, "I don't know. I can't comment. It isn't a reflection of Todd in any way.

"I don't know how social media works and everybody here is really supportive of Marc and we're trying to help him get back to his level and enjoy his football. If a player is enjoying his football, the chance is he is going to play well."

The incident, which has been flagged on social media by fans, doesn't help ease the atmosphere within the camp as Chelsea face a tough time on the pitch.

Next up for the Blues is a trip to Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.
