How Arsenal fans can get tickets for Champions League final

Arsenal have confirmed their ticket allocation for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, with plans also announced to hold a live screening of the game at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have reached the biggest fixture in European club football for only the second time in their history and first since 2006, when they were edged out 2-1 by Barcelona in heartbreaking fashion in Paris.

Bukayo Saka’s late first-half goal was enough to see off Atletico Madrid 1-0 in their semi-final second-leg decider in north London on Tuesday night, with Arsenal winning the tie 2-1 on aggregate after a controversial 1-1 first-leg draw in Spain last week.

Standing between Mikel Arteta’s side and a maiden Champions League crown are holders PSG, who drew 1-1 with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening to edge their thrilling semi-final tie 6-5 on aggregate after an epic 5-4 triumph in the first leg in Paris.

The two teams also met in last season’s semi-finals, when PSG won 3-1 on aggregate - 1-0 away and 2-1 at home - en route to winning the competition for the first time with a 5-0 rout of Inter Milan in Munich.

This season’s Champions League final will take place on Saturday, May 30 with a new, earlier 5pm BST kick-off time - 6pm local time - at the Puskas Arena in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, a stadium with a capacity of 67,215.

Arsenal have confirmed that their supporters will be housed in the North Side of a ground named in honour of footballing icon Ferenc Puskas and which is home to the Hungary national team, with an allocation 16,824 general admission tickets.

How Arsenal fans can get tickets for Champions League final

There are three categories of tickets available for Arsenal fans for the Champions League final, with each containing some restricted view seating.

The most expensive tickets are in category one, which are priced at €950. Category one tickets with a restricted view are priced at €760.

Category two tickets will cost €650, with restricted view seats in category two costing €520. Category three tickets will be available for €180, which drops to €140 for those seats with a restricted view.

There are also Fans First tickets which will cost €70, with disability access tickets priced at the same level.

Champions League final tickets for Arsenal fans will be available via the official UEFA Ticket Portal, access to which will be via unique access codes that will be sent out to supporters.

Arsenal have outlined two sales windows, the first of which will be available to “platinum season-ticket holders who have utilised their ticket for the relevant number of fixtures and general admission gold season ticket holders who have utilised their ticket for at least 16 applicable games for the 19-game season ticket, or 19 applicable games for the 23-game Season Ticket, and: have attended 3, or more, UEFA Champions League away games during the current season or have 10+ away credits”. There is a purchase limit of six members per booking.

The first sales window opens at 1pm BST on Thursday, May 7 and will remain so until 1pm on Monday, May 11.

The second sales window is a ballot for “all other platinum season ticket holders on track to meet their utilisation target for the relevant number of fixtures, and general admission gold season ticket holders who have utilised their ticket for at least 16 applicable games for the 19-game season ticket, or 19 applicable games for the 23-game season ticket”.

Those eligible will be entered into the ballot that opens at midday on Friday, May 8 and closes at midday on Monday, May 11, with successful entrants then able to purchase their tickets through a first-come, first-served sales window that opens at 1pm on Tuesday, May 12 and closes at 1pm on Thursday, May 14.

Those eligible fans who are not initially successful in the ballot will be placed on standby in the event that any tickets go unsold or if UEFA increase the allocation. Should that happen, standby window entrants would be able to purchase tickets between 1pm on Friday, May 15 and 1pm on Monday, May 18.

Arsenal fans are facing soaring costs for flights to Budapest and hotel rooms for the final, though Arsenal have also confirmed a dedicated supporter charter flight from London Luton Airport to Budapest that will cost £859 per person, with places available on a first-come, first-served basis in line with the ticket sales windows.

Those who miss out on tickets for the final could get the chance to watch a live screening of the game at the Emirates, ticketing information for which Arsenal said would be detailed shortly.

The Arsenal Supporters Trust (AST) have expressed their disappointment with the size of the ticket allocation for the final as they plan talks with UEFA.

The AST wrote on X on Thursday: “The AST has been campaigning for many years to get UEFA to treat fans of the competing finalists better. This stems back to the debacle in Baku [2019 Europa League final against Chelsea].

“There has been some improvement but this year we are disappointed to see an allocation of only 17,000 tickets.

“We have also raised this with Arsenal who say they will convey this to UEFA. But it won’t change matters for this year.

“UEFA needs to remember it is the fans who support the competition throughout the group stages and knock out rounds and show more respect to our position when making plans for the final.

“We will update further on this after meetings next week with Uefa, Arsenal and Football Supporters Europe.”

On plans for the screening at the Emirates, the AST added: “The small Budapest ticket allocation is why we pushed Arsenal for a home screening at the Emirates.

“There was good engagement with the club recognising it as something important to deliver for supporters. It is now hoped up to 35k will attend and at a very fair entry price.”
