People across the country have been enjoying the hot weather over the bank holiday with the heatwave to last throughout the week.
This comes as the government’s former chief scientific adviser, Prof Sir Mark Walport, said it was “not impossible” that the country was in the foothills of a new wave as the government said it would be guided by data when it comes to deciding whether to lift restrictions in England on 21 June.
