How Andy Robertson plans to repay Liverpool fans for special Kop flag

Liverpool's Andy Robertson has revealed how he intends to repay fans for their loyal support following the unveiling of his special flag.

The banner was flown on the Kop for the final home game of the Premier League season against Wolves.

Robertson's work rate and determined performances have quickly aligned him with the Anfield faithful.

And his new banner, which features the royal banner of Scotland and the words "Oh Andy, Andy" painted below a jubilant Robertson, is a gesture of appreciation from Reds' fans.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com the Scottish skipper described his pride at seeing the flag dedicated to him.

Robertson admitted: "It means the world. Seeing the flag on the last game of the season, it's special.

"You don't see many players that are getting up in the Kop and things. It was great to see.

"It was good to see my brother fly the flag... I'm joking! It was a great moment to see that and it just shows they appreciate me on the park."

are days away from their Champions League showdown with Tottenham, and Robertson is keen to reward the fans for their support by winning the European title.

The defender said: "As a squad we don't want to let the fans down and we don't want to let the club down.

"We believe we've done that this season, but we've not produced a trophy.

"That's the only way you can really repay the fans. We've got one more crack at it and hopefully we can deliver that for them."

Since arriving on Merseyside in 2017 the left-back has been an outstanding addition to Jurgen Klopp's squad.

This season alone Robertson has played 47 times and produced 13 assists, he will be hoping to add to that tally in Madrid on June 1.
