How Alexandre Lacazette reacted on Instagram to Arsenal's draw against Watford

Alexandre Lacazette had a watching brief as Arsenal drew 2-2 against Watford.

And like the Gunners fanbase, he was not happy with how events transpired in the second half as the visitors failed to see out the two-goal lead given to them by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

In truth, Arsenal were rather fortunate to have been ahead at the break, but they did press the self-destruct button and can only have themselves to blame for not taking all three points.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos was first to make an error early in the second half.

From inside his own box the Greek defender took a huge risk by attempting to play the ball into Matteo Guendouzi. However, he underhit the pass and the visitors were in trouble.

Former Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley read Sokratis' intentions as he intercepted the pass to reduce the deficit by smashing the ball past Bernd Leno.

To complete the set of errors from centre-backs, David Luiz brought down Roberto Pereyra in the area and he converted the resulting penalty to make it 2-2.

The reaction to the result from fans was of pure anger and frustration, something which Lacazette agreed with as he 'liked' an Arsenal supporters' Instagram post which summed up Sunday's performance.

With a image of Vicarage Road, the caption read: '2-0, and we ****** it up'.

Lacazette missed the game through injury and is not expected back until next month.

"After assessments to an ongoing ankle issue, we have advised that Alex will need to rest and strengthen his ankle to regain full fitness," a statement via Arsenal.com read last week.

"Alex has been playing through this injury for several weeks. He is likely to be back in action in October."

Despite the injury blow Lacazette appears to be in positive spirits.

Taking to social media, the popular striker had a message for supporters.

"Already started my rehab and looking to the future," he tweeted. "Thanks everyone for your messages!!"
