Missed deliveries, return-to-origin (RTO) losses, and address errors are everyday issues for most online brands. However, there’s an Indian startup named Velocity that is trying to fix these issues with Shipfast, its a shipping aggregation platform powered by AI. It uses automation and voice AI to handle operational gaps that typically go unnoticed by traditional logistics platforms. The system verifies addresses before dispatch, nudges customers to convert COD orders into prepaid, and automates re-attempts for failed deliveries.
AI Tools for Everyday Operational Problems
One of the most impactful features of Shipfast is its capability of address correction. If a customer enters an incomplete or mismatched address during checkout, the system flags it. An AI voice agent then calls the customer to verify and correct the address before the shipping process is started.
Apart from that, COD orders are also validated automatically. Along with the validation, the AI agent offers customers a discount to prepay for the order if configured so, and sends a payment link if they accept. This not only reduces cancellation rates but also improves cash flow for the brand.
Other features include instant NDR verification and re-attempts using AI, a full-suite of two-way Whatsapp flows with the consumer, and a unified support layer that gives brands a single point of contact across multiple courier partners. NDR stands for Non-Delivery Report where a delivery person reports that the buyer is not available to take the delivery. There have been rising instances of incorrect NDRs, which leads to avoidable revenue loss for brands.
The problem isn’t just delivery speed it’s predictability and control. We’ve seen too many brands lose margins because of things like fake NDRs or silent weight hikes. Shipfast was built to stop those leaks.

How Shipfast Combines AI and Courier Partners
Unlike logistics providers that run their own fleets, Shipfast aggregates multiple national and regional delivery partners such as Delhivery, Shadowfax, and Blitz. The platform then uses smart routing to assign the most reliable partner for each shipment based on location and past performance.
This aggregation model gives brands access to over 20,000 pincodes with same-day, next-day, or regular delivery options, without managing separate courier contracts or integrations.
“For brands like ours, logistics used to be a black box,” said Anveshika Singhal, founder of food startup Miheso. “With Shipfast, we’ve been able to reduce delivery errors and offer same-day shipping, which is now an expectation, not a bonus.”
So as e-commerce logistics becomes more competitive, especially with the rise of quick commerce and customer expectations for faster fulfillment, automation and AI may no longer be optional.
