How a YouTuber used Grand Theft Auto as a false alibi when he murdered his pregnant girlfriend

Murder Natalie McNally Stephen McCullagh

Stephen McCullagh has been handed a life sentence with a minimum tariff of 31 years for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Natalie McNally.
McCullagh murdered Ms McNally in Lurgan, Co Armagh, on 18 December 2022, and showed no reaction as his sentence was delivered.
He created a false alibi by staging a YouTube gaming livestream of Grand Theft Auto , which police experts later discovered was pre-recorded days before the murder.
Mr Justice Kinney described the murder as a 'brutal and senseless' act, planned in 'remorseless detail', with the staged livestream being an 'integral' part of the scheme.
McCullagh also made a 'concerted effort' to blame Ms McNally's ex-boyfriend and feigned grief with her family in the aftermath of her death.
