How 2019 World Series odds changed after the trade deadline

A few star pitchers switched clubs by Wednesday’s MLB trade deadline, but the Houston Astros turned heads with arguably the biggest move of the summer, as one of the best teams in baseball got even scarier with the addition of six-time All-Star and 2009 Cy Young winner Zack Greinke.

The Astros agreed to send four prospects to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for the 35-year-old, who is 10-4 on the season with a 2.90 ERA. The 69-40 Astros were already favorites to represent the AL in the World Series, but the all in move for Greinke pushed the Astros ahead of the Dodgers as World Series favorites in Las Vegas.
