The Houston Police Department has issued a statement regarding Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson. On Friday, April 2nd, a complaint was filed against Watson with the Houston Police Department. They’ve now opened an investigation into Watson.

“Today, a complainant filed a report with the Houston Police Department concerning Deshaun Watson. As with any allegation, the Houston Police Department is now conducting an investigation and will not comment further during the investigative process.”
Watson has been the subject of a lawsuit and recent allegations of misconduct, which the NFL is investigating. The Houston Police Department did not confirm whether the recent complaint was in any way related.
Watson’s attorney responded with the following statement per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero: “We welcome this long overdue development. Now we will learn the identity of at least one accuser. We will fully cooperate with the Houston Police Department.”
