The Houston Astros continue their four-game set with the Tampa Bay Rays on the road as they play the second game Friday night. Astros took the opening game on Thursday afternoon as they cruised to a 5-1 victory.

Houston Astros: Astros look to go 2-0 on the season with a win here. Houston gave up an early run, that was it for the rest of the way as they rode their pitching to a W. Stros offense came on strong with Altuve, Brantley and George Springer each homering in the victory. The ageless wonder Justin Verlander (1-0) threw seven strong ones to complete the victory.
Tampa Bay Rays: Tampa jumped out to an early lead but then put then bats away yesterday. Austin Meadows led off the bottom of the first with a solo shot to give the Rays a 1-0 lead. They’ll need more offense today to keep up with that Astros lineup. Blake Snell (0-1), the AL Cy Young winner last year took the loss yesterday giving up five runs on six hits, they will need more than that from their starter going into this season.
