Houssem Aouar has a long list of potential suitors who would welcome him should he leave his current side, French outfit Lyon.
His future looked set to be away from Ligue 1 last summer, with Arsenal the favourites to prompt his departure - but a deal failed to materialise and the 22-year-old remained in France.
According to recent reports, Liverpool have now joined the race for the midfielder's signature - who is rumoured to still be open to a move.
It appears that Klopp's side will have to fend off the Gunners, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. He has revealed that Arsenal remain 'convinced' Aouar is still the right man to solve their creativity issues.
And now French newspaper L'Equipe are reporting that Aouar himself is open to leaving Lyon - thus once again opening the door for Mikel Arteta and Edu to potentially swoop in.
Arsenal are facing the daunting prospect of no European football next season, which is likely to have a severe impact on their ability to flex their financial muscles.
However, if they can muster up the funds, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas appears to have already opened the door for a possible exit for Aouar in the summer.
"The departure of Houssem is not a wish of OL," Aulas admitted at a news conference ahead of the weekend. "If he wishes to leave, we will try to accompany him, as we have done for many years.
"Afterwards, if the offers do not correspond to what we want, he will stay in Lyon and we will be very happy."
Despite being just 22, Aouar already boasts more than 100 league games for Lyon as well as Champions League and Europa League experience.
Whether it be Arsenal or Liverpool who lure him away from Lyon, Aouar would undoubtedly make a welcome addition to the Premier League.
