Houssem Aouar has addressed his future amid transfer interest from Arsenal.
The Lyon midfielder has emerged as a target for the Gunners, who have reportedly had a £32million bid for the 22-year-old rejected.
The French club are said to want £54m for the player, who has also been linked with Barcelona and Juventus.
football.london understands Arsenal are ready to increase their offer to £36.5m (€40m), with a further £9m in potential add-ons (€10m).
Aouar made his 100th appearance for Lyon on Sunday - but could it be his last?
Speaking after the 1-1 draw away to Lorient in Ligue 1, he told Canal+: "I will give you an interview after the match but I will not talk about my future."
However, Aouar was then pushed for an answer on whether he would be interested in joining Arsenal.
He replied: "There are contacts with clubs, I don’t know yet. We’ll see what happens in the future."
In the lead-up to the game, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that Arsenal have made a bid for Aouar - but indicated that the offer was knocked back.
"At Lyon there will be very few departures: for Houssem, Arsenal is much too far from his value," Aulas wrote on Twitter.
"We count on him to make a big game in Lorient and lead OL in Champions League next year."
