A Cambuslang youth football team has scored a funding boost from a local housing developer.
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has extended its support for local community football in Cambuslang by continuing its shirt and training kit sponsorship for the Cambuslang FC 2009s.
The team is part of a local community football club for boys who play 11-a-side football in the local Central Lanarkshire Youth Football Association (CLYFA) league.
Head coach, Alan McArthur told Lanarkshire Live : “We’re thrilled to have received this further donation from Taylor Wimpey, which now benefits over 40 children at our club, and we are grateful for their support of initiatives like ours in the local community.
“Our two 2009 teams have now joined to create one larger team who play 11-a-side football in the CLYFA league and Taylor Wimpey’s generous sponsorship donation has meant that this group of 20 boys are the proud owners of new playing shirts and training kit.
"Younger members of Cambuslang FC will also now play in Taylor Wimpey sponsored strips too. Our young teams are bursting with talent, and we’re delighted to see them all looking so smart and professional as they approach every game.”
