Housing Crisis: Property prices in Dublin skyrocket by 11.5% in September

Property prices in Dublin have risen by 11.5% in September, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office.

House prices in Dublin have increased 12.4% while apartment prices are up 7.7%.

This is slightly lower than the rise in property prices outside of Dublin which currently stands at 13.2%.

The area of Dublin with the highest increase in house prices was Dublin City at 14.1% while prices in Fingal saw the lowest at 8.6%.

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown saw the second-highest increase in house prices in the year to September, rising by 13.4%.

House prices in South Dublin rose by 12.8%.

The capital continues to have the highest median price for a house in the country, currently standing at €400,000.

The Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council area has the highest house prices at €580,000 while South Dublin County Council has the lowest at €368,500.

Again, DLRCC has the highest mean price at €666,894 while South Dublin had the lowest at €398,673.

The Eircode with the most expensive homes was also revealed in the CSO report. A94 (Blackrock) had the highest house prices at €672,500 while the next five most expensive Eircode areas by median price were also in Dublin.
