Castle Rock Edinvar managing director Richard Jennings said: "I am pleased to welcome Neil to our team. This is an important appointment for us that strengthens our management capabilities and will help in our mission to become Scotland’s leading placemaking partner as we continue to expand into new regions across Scotland.

“We have recognised expertise in creating places that work for everyone and our future successes depend on working well with partners, including local authorities and private sector developers, that share our vision. Neil’s vast sector experience, strong network and excellent understanding of placemaking issues is an asset to our business.”

Castle Rock Edinvar is Scotland's fifth largest housing association, working with nine local authorities. Places for People is a property management company which leases office space and other commercial buildings. Over the next three years Castle Rock Edinvar is to invest over £150 million to deliver almost 2000 new homes across Scotland.

Ross, who will be based in Edinburgh, said: “I’m delighted to join the senior management team in this newly created role to help build strong collaborative partnerships and find new opportunities for our special brand of placemaking north of the border. As a group, Places for People has a focus on driving innovation for the benefit of communities and I will be also working with my colleagues to develop the best ideas for the wider market.”
