Houses 'deliberately set on fire' in Bristol arson attack

Firefighters were called to houses in Bristol yesterday (Saturday, October 2) after they were set ablaze.

After a busy day for the Hicks Gate crew, their last call was to a terrace that had been "deliberately set on fire".

When they attended they saw the houses were derelict and abandoned, with boarded-up windows.

But someone had broken in and set them ablaze, a Twitter post by the Hicks Gate crew said.

Teams from Kingswood and Temple were called to help tackle the flames and the fire was brought under control.
