Housemate found not guilty of assaulting man with cereal bowl

A housemate cried as she was found not guilty of assaulting a fellow resident with a glass cereal bowl.

Imah Kamara, 26, now of of Bailey Street, Basford, was said to have swung her right arm to victim Samuel Boateng's face, breaking the bowl.

A shard of glass allegedly cut his chest on February 16 last year at a shared house in North Gate, New Basford.

A jury, deliberating on an assault, causing bodily harm charge against Ms Kamara, decided she was not guilty unanimously.

She said "thank you" as she was discharged from the dock by Recorder David Herbert QC who told her at Nottingham Crown Court: "That's the end of this matter as far as you are concerned. You have been found not guilty by the jury."
