Housebuilder of the Year recognised at annual awards

Robertson Homes collected the top award in the Scottish Home Awards last night.

The Elgin-based builder was awarded the Housebuilder of the Year Award for its show home The Muir Apartment at Great Glen Hall in Inverness.

The family-owned business was commended for launching its new Artistry range of house styles.

The range has provided contemporary and varied streetscapes all across Scotland increasing homes built by an impressive 50%.

The company was also a finalist in five other categories.

Edinburgh-based Teague Group won the Housebuilder of the Year Less than 100 Units category.

The judges specifically commended the company’s plans to regenerate the Ropeworks site in Edinburgh.

On completion the development will provide more than 800 homes, five commercial units, a new ‘pocket park’ and allotments for the City Council.

The annual awards saw almost 700 guests in attendance at the event at the Doubletree by Hilton Central Hotel in Glasgow.

Also among the winners was the Cala Homes (East) development The Crescent at Donaldson’s in Edinburgh which won awards in three separate categories.

It won the Show Home of the Year (with selling price of more than £400,000), an Innovation in Design accolade and a highly commended award for Apartment Development of the Year.
