House with grubby walls and junk piled high inside on sale for bargain £25,000

A terraced house which needs a lot of work could be yours for just £25,000 as it comes up for auction later this week.

It is among the cheapest properties on the market in the Liverpool area at the moment and could make a lovely family home.

But photos from inside the property in Wavertree show that it in a desperate state of disrepair, piled high with junk in some of the rooms, rubble on the floor and a ceiling that's falling through.

In one photo, the first floor of the house can almost be seen through the gaps in the floorboards where the ceiling plaster is coming away.

Grubby walls and floors would all need to be stripped back to make way for a fresh new look.

While the inside comes with its own list of renovation jobs, the exterior of the property would also need work due to the huge tree currently covering much of the frontage.

The property will go up for auction on Thursday, September 10 via a virtual auction with Sutton Kersh, starting at 12pm via a live stream, the Liverpool Echo reports.

A total of 127 properties will go under the hammer, another bargain lot also proving popular on Hawkins Street in L6 which has a guide price of just £40,000.

Over 200 people are registered to bid on the lots up for offer so far, with this 'fixer-upper' listed as lot number 87.

A short description of the property uploaded to Zoopla says: "A vacant two bedroom middle terrace property in need of a full upgrade and refurbishment scheme. Following which the property would be suitable for occupation, re sale or investment purposes."

In July, Sutton Kersh Auctions held a live streamed online auction, which saw more than £9 million worth of property sold, making it the largest figure for a property auction so far this year in the North West.
