House with 750 cannabis plants inside found in Sandfields, Port Talbot

Police have recovered 750 cannabis plants from a property in Port Talbot.

Officers acting on intelligence first received by PCSO’s used a warrant to enter the property on Station Road in Sandfields.

Inside they discovered hundreds of plants in different stages of growth.

They also discovered an array of specialist equipment for growing cannabis.

A spokesman for the force said a 30-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody.

The discovery is just a distance from where another cannabis factory was discovered last month.

Police discovered more than fifty plants at a property on Talbot Road at the start of November, as well as associated growing paraphernalia.

Two occupants of the property reportedly ran away as officers arrived on the scene.
