House taped off after man, 40, stabbed in the chest

A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed at a house in Maghull.

The victim, aged 40, suffered injuries to his chest at a house on Rosslyn Avenue.

Police arrived at the house just after 9pm on Tuesday and found the injured man.

The 40-year-old was rushed to hospital and his wounds are believed to have been non-life threatening.

A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of wounding with intent and is currently in custody.

The house is still reported to be taped off, with police remaining at the scene.
