House Republicans Initiate Unfounded Impeachment Inquiry Against President Biden

Biden is one of six U.S. presidents to face an impeachment inquiry.

Amidst a whirlwind of political drama, President Biden now stands as one of the six U.S. Presidents in history to face an impeachment inquiry in the House. Biden's take on it? A mere baseless political stunt.

For a number of congressional Republicans, their defense for their votes supporting this impeachment inquiry is crystal clear-- they claim the White House pushed them into this position by denying access to material essential for their investigation. But the White House Counsel's office, unwavering in its counter, proclaims this entire inquest baseless. They boast of a voluminous mass of documents, 100,000 pages strong; summoned and interviewed countless witnesses for 40 hours; and despite these monumental efforts, they claim, there's not a hint, not even an iota, of evidence of any kind by President Biden.

And yet, the impeachment wagon trundles on, its zealous drive fuelled, critics say, by the need to please the far-right base and score political points. The grand and grave constitutional instrument of impeachment, they argue, is being reduced to nothing more than a political ploy.

Throughout this political maelstrom, President Biden comes forward with a rare statement. 'Every dawn, I focus on the issues plaguing our great nation-- the real issues affecting people's lives, and the strength and security of our country and the world. Sadly, House Republicans aren't joining me. Instead of doing anything constructive to better the lives of Americans, they're focusing their energies on attacking me with lies.' He criticized their preference to squander time on a baseless political stunt instead of tending to the urgent matters of state.

But despite the frenzied chatter, officials have steadfastly refused to entertain specifics. Particularly, they dodged questions about whether President Biden believes Hunter was justified in ignoring congressional subpoenas, which prompted this inquiry being formalized in the first place.

Hunter, however, has once again reiterated that his father was not financially involved in any of his business dealings. He argued that his alleged financial misconduct was a result of his addiction, accusing the committee chairman of 'unprecedented political interference.'
