A house party bust-up led to a man being cornered in an alley by a 'true gentleman' before being kicked, punched and slashed - and told he 'deserved it'.
He offered to fight someone who had thumped him - after he was seen arguing with his girlfriend - but insisted: "No knives."
The man was ignored and was later slashed across the hand.

Two men involved in the attack - Aaron Robinson and John McLaughlin - have now been handed suspended prison sentences.
Bolton Crown Court heard the pair were at a house party in Wigan in the early hours of July 14, 2018.
A man and his girlfriend - who had earlier been to a pub in Ince - were also there.
Robinson, 29, was smoking by the back door, when he saw the couple arguing.

Prosecuting, Paul Dockery said there was 'no fighting, but 'harsh words' were exchanged and 'voices were raised'.
Robinson punched the man and said: "Don't speak to her like that."
The man then asked Robinson if he wanted to go outside and fight.
When he saw Robinson pick up a knife, the man said: "Put the knife down. No knives, let's fight."
Robinson declined to go outside. The man was asked to leave the party.
Shortly after, the victim realised his girlfriend was no longer with him.
He returned to the house and knocked on a window so hard he smashed it.
Robinson chased him away with two other people, including McLaughlin, 36.
The man was cornered in an alley.
He told Robinson: "I'll fight you... no knife."
Robinson slashed the man's hand, before kicking him and punching him. McLaughlin joined in the attack.
A neighbour stepped in before the assault ended.
"They had a brief exchange and Robinson said he deserved it or something of that kind," Mr Dockery said.
The man suffered bruising to his head, a cut lip, a cut hand and a small injury to his right knee.
Robinson, of Buchanan Road, Worsley Hall, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
McLaughlin, of Manchester Road, Ince, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The court heard Robinson has 12 convictions for 17 offences.
McLaughlin has four convictions for five offences - including ABH, common assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour.
Defending, Paul Treble told the court Robinson's last offence was in 2014. He said that there was something of a 'sea change' after that.
A reference mentioned in court described Robinson as a 'true gentleman'.
Bob Elias, defending McLaughlin, mentioned character references in which McLaughlin was referred to as 'polite', 'trustworthy' and 'well-mannered'.
Judge Recorder Ciaran Rankin handed both men suspended sentences.
He told the court the significant delay between incident and the sentencing hearing played a part, as neither men have offended in the past three years, along with their guilty pleas.
Robinson was sentenced for 18 months, suspended for two years. McLaughlin received a sentence of 12 months, suspended for two years.
