House of the Dragon (HOTD) has brought the fire back to our screens with its third season, and its premiere episode already has fans GAGGED by an unexpected, incestual snog.

If you’ve been around for Game of Thrones and the previous season of HOTD, incest would not come as a surprise. However, this time around, punters have been left disgusted at the unexpected kiss between mother and son duo, Aemon Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) and Alicent Targaryen (Olivia Cooke).
To give you a quickie recap — without too many spoilers — during a serious conversation, in which Alicent was trying to convince her son to leave King’s Landing and head towards Harrenhal, Aemon planted an unexpected kiss on his mum after she told him that she wished he were her firstborn so that he could be king.

Instead of pushing the bloke away (like duh, mister man is dangerous as F*CK), Alicent stood there until the uncomfortable snog stopped. But once his arse moved on, we’re left with the mother looking completely stunned, with her eyes wide open.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, Mitchell admitted that it’s a scene that “makes you want to throw up in your mouth a little”.
“Yeah, it’s kind of shocking,” he said.
“But then also, I just recognised a tremendous challenge and an opportunity to show Aemond in a new light.”
Cooke added the smooch was “f*cked”.
