House of Gucci: Villa from the Lady Gaga movie is available to rent on Airbnb

The luxurious Italian villa from the highly anticipated new movie House of Gucci is available to rent for a short stay - but there's a major catch.

Villa Balbiano is featured in the film as the home of Gucci patriarch Aldo (Al Pacino), and it is where the family get to know Lady Gaga's character Patrizia Reggiani.

For those who have already seen the movie and want to - briefly - live like the glamorous fashionistas featured in the story, the owner has now put the property on Airbnb.

The mansion is located on the western shore of Lake Como, the third largest lake in Italy, set against the foothills of the Alps.

Fans of the movie are able to take a deeper look inside the villa - which features the "finest objets d’art and furniture of past centuries", "spectacular 17th century frescoes painted by the Recchi brothers", and "an unparalleled mix of man-made and natural beauty".

The property has an outdoor swimming pool, a boathouse, a private pier - a perfect spot to sip on a cappuccino - as well as six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The listing states: "Villa Balbiano is an exceptional historical palazzo that once belonged to the famous Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, who built it at the end of 16th century and used it as his main residence.

"A century later, it was enlarged and embellished by Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini who used the Villa to host a gallant and frivolous society where festivals, banquets and dances followed one another relentlessly.

Booking for Villa Balbiano open in December (Airbnb)

"Nowadays, Villa Balbiano is one of the largest private residences on the lake, with an extensive sumptuous garden, which was distinguished by the British Society of Garden Designers and which guests will recognize from the new House of Gucci movie.

"Outdoor swimming pool, a private pier and a boathouse await."

The mansion is the same one that played host to Lady Gaga, Adam Driver and Al Pacino (Airbnb)

Unfortunately, there's major catch that fans should be aware of - for now, the mansion is only available for one night, and the owner will be on-site during the stay.

Guests will have access to the villa's first three floors, which are accessible by private elevator.

Booking open on December 6, and you can take a look at the full listing here.

House of Gucci is out in cinemas nationwide today (November 26).
