Hour by hour weather forecast for Nottingham as yellow warning for thunderstorms issued

The MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across the Nottingham area.

The skies are expected to remain largely clear until mid afternoon with forecasters predicting rain from 3pm onwards.

Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 29C.

Hour by hour forecast for the day:

11am - Sunny with cloud. Temperatures of 21C

12midday: 24C. Still sunny with some cloud

1pm: Temperatures climbing to 26C. Still no rain at this stage

2pm: Sunny with temperatures of 29C

3pm-4pm: Rainfall, with temperatures remaining high - at around 28C.

5pm-7pm: The rain is expected to continue with temperatures falling to around 27C.

7-8pm: The rain is predicted to continue until around 8pm.

9pm: Forecasters expect the rainfall to have stopped and the sunshine to return with temperatures at around 24C

Despite the yellow weather warning and rain forecast, Nottingham will not see any thunderstorms today (Friday, June 26).

They are expected tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, June 26).
