Overnight Storm Hannah hit Bristol battering the city with strong winds and rain.

The incoming of the storm - which has been caused by an area of low pressure - has seen the Met Office issue a yellow weather warning for strong winds across Wales and southern England.

Highways England has also issued a travel warning for the M5 due to high winds.

A Met Office spokesman said: “We’re going to see an unsettled period over the next few days, but the forecast for later next week indicates the return of high pressure, bringing more settled conditions.

“Storm Hannah will move away from the UK during Saturday followed by a transient ridge of high pressure bringing more settled weather to the UK for Sunday, good news for London Marathon runners.”
