Heavy rain and thunder forecast today in Nottingham looks set to scupper day trips, the Met Office has predicted.
The Met Office did have a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in place for Saturday, June 27 but this has been cancelled.
Temperatures in the city will reach around 20C in the afternoon after a wet morning - according to forecasters.
Rain looks set to return later in the afternoon/early evening after a brief reprieve between 3 and 4pm.
For the East Midlands forecast, the Met Office said: "Cloud and outbreaks of rain will soon move away, then bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. Some showers will be heavy, especially across northern areas, perhaps with thunder. Later many places will become dry. Turning fresher and breezy. Maximum temperature 22 °C."
At 1pm the UV rating will be 6 - which is classed as high - despite thunder forecast at the same time.
