Hour by hour weather forecast as April showers continue across region

The grey weather is set to continue as we start the week with widespread cloud and drizzle.

The region has experienced some wintry weather over the last few days with temperatures plummeting across the UK. Unfortunately on Monday, heavy outbursts of rain are expected later on in the afternoon.

A Met Office weather forecast predicts that it will be cloudy with some brightness in eastern parts. There's also set to be isolated outbreaks of rain and drizzle, initially across western hills where heavy at times.

Monday night will be cloudier with outbreaks of rain and drizzle persisting widely. This will be heaviest across the western and northwestern hills. Winds should ease overnight with the minimum temperature 6 °C.
