Snow in the North East is set to melt away on Saturday to make way for dry and sunny spells.
However after a mild day, frost is expected to appear again overnight as temperatures drop.
There will be some outbreaks of rain across the region with some spreading eastwards on Saturday evening.
Temperatures will reach highs of 7 °C on the afternoon while the lowest could be -1 °C.
No weather warnings are in place for the North East but an amber warning for snow has been issued for parts of South East England.
