The weekend ahead is set to bring more cold spells to the North East, which is already feeling the effects of sleet and snow from the past week.
Tomorrow's forecast although dry will see temperatures between 3C and 1C, with a frosty but bright start expected. Any sunny intervals will soon be blocked out by copious amounts of cloud however, with the sky filled with a sea of white for the rest of the evening.
It's more of the same come Saturday too, with clouds expected to fill the skies of Newcastle and its surrounding areas from start to finish. Highs of 4C and lows of 1C are expected in accordance.
