Hour by hour Leeds weather forecast with heavy snow set to hit city

Heavy snow is forecast for Leeds for the majority of Thursday.

Leeds, along with other areas in Yorkshire, has been hit with a yellow weather warning for snow and ice, which will be in place for most of the week.

The ice warning is in place until Thursday, with a yellow warning for snow in place across the city on Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will plummet to 1°C, with a 'feels like' temperature of -2°C on Thursday, according to the Met Office.

A yellow ice warning is still in place with snow forecast to start falling around 6pm on Wednesday evening.

It is expected to snow through the night and into the early hours of Thursday morning, and is expected to continue throughout the majority of the afternoon.

The Met Office has said that ice is expected "readily" with the yellow warning stretching from above Birmingham all the way to the north of Scotland.

Icy patches are expected to form on untreated roads and paths, making travel dangerous with a higher chance of slips and injuries.
