The North East is set to have its hottest day of the year on Wednesday, with temperatures reaching as high as 23C.
The Met Office has said the east of England will have the hottest weather, but the whole of the UK should be well above 20C.
The mercury is expected to hit 23C in Newcastle and 24C in Durham.
Elsewhere, while it might be a touch cooler along the coast - Whitley Bay is likely to see highs of 19C.
Meteorologist Matthew Box added: "This will occur due to large areas of high pressure, combined with southerly winds from the continent, bringing with it, pleasant sunshine, dry skies and warmer air."
Meanwhile, people are reminded to stick to social distancing rules when out and about.
Members of the public are now able to take part in unlimited exercise, enjoy picnics and sunbathing, and meet up with people from other households outside while remaining two metres apart.
