The North East looks set to bask in another day of glorious sun following a week of pleasant weather.
According to the forecast by the Met Office, the region looks set for more warm spells with sunny periods. The leading meteorologists have predicted sunshine with some light winds which will make for a very agreeable day for many!
The forecasters say to expect the following conditions over the course of the day: "Another fine day with sunshine for most after localised early fog clears. Feeling warm given light winds and lengthy sunny periods.
"There is a risk of banks of low cloud affecting North Sea coastal districts later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 18C."

As has been the case throughout the week, the conditions this evening will be characterised by a stark drop in temperatures so do make sure to pack a jumper if you are planning on sitting outside for most of the day.
The Met Office expects the following conditions this evening: "Low cloud and fog in coastal districts should become more extensive and spread inland overnight, although some more sheltered western areas should stay clearer, with patchy frost and fog possible. Minimum temperature -1 C."
